434 is a long-format accelerator, providing select technology-driven, early-stage startups based in and around the Charlottesville area with nine months of program support, including:

experienced founders-in-residence

connections to network of industry experts, investor groups, and grant-making organizations
student project/intern support
access to over $50,000 in resources
COLLABORATE.
The 434 accelerator is a multi-stakeholder entrepreneurship initiative, thanks to support from the City of Charlottesville, the County of Albemarle, the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation, and private foundations.
Operated out of Venture Central, 434 leverages the resources of the wider Charlottesville and Virginia ecosystem to not only support the select set of high-potential startups in the accelerator program, but also be a catalyst for the community-at-large.

IMPACT.
To date, 434 has supported 34 startups led by over 65 founders. These teams have gone on to collectively create over 130 jobs and raise greater than $36,000,000 in capital and grants — a multiple approaching 50x the grant support provided through the program and our partners.
